Homestay Program Exclusively For International Businesswomen & Women Executives
March 6, 2009 – California English Homestay has announced the company will offer an English language homestay program exclusively for international businesswomen and women professionals.
The unique homestay concept will be called the "Women’s Advantage Homestay Experience" and will offer business English courses developed by The Cambridge University Press, one of the world’s leading publishers of English Learning Teaching materials. Cambridge University Press is respected worldwide for its commitment to advancing knowledge, education, learning, and research.
The "Women’s Advantage Homestay Program" will offer selected Cambridge University English business courses in two categories: Business-skill courses and occupation-specific courses. The business English courses will be offered in 1-week, 2-week and 3-week homestay durations. The unique program will also include a two-hour lunch meeting with an American counterpart in the same business field or same profession.
"Our mission is to assist women to grow and succeed in business and life," said Mary Makena, California English Homestay president and founder. Ms. Makena noted that, here in the United States, the number of women in business and women professionals has grown dramatically in the past 20 years.
"But in other countries," Ms. Makena said, "women in business and other professions, despite their contributions to their society, are still struggling to earn the respect and recognition they deserve. One of the primary objectives of the ‘Women’s Advantage Homestay Experience’ is to play a small role in helping women change that situation for the better."
